
We expanded the space so we could smoothly guide our customers.
But thankfully, we became even busier than before.
My heart is filled with gratitude.
But—
The cramped shop has only one restroom, and the tables are packed tight. “This situation is disrespectful to our customers.”
That feeling grew stronger day by day.

Just three months after the addition.
I resolved to seek out the next stage.
What was introduced to me was a “troubled” property that had sat vacant for two years.
But I knew.
—This place had been waiting to meet me.

Now that it’s decided, time to prepare for opening!
Arranging funding, discussing interior design, reviewing blueprints…
There’s a mountain of work to do, and my time on the job site has dwindled.
But—
Reliable teammates have appeared to support me through it all.

The comrades who support the new Kuro 5.
It was meeting Akihito Toyama, a chef brimming with artisan spirit, now serving as Managing Director and Executive Chef.
And from here on, even more uniquely talented members
will appear one after another in this story.
